Emerging in the old port, at the heart of Qingdao, Eye of World mall has become a retail landmark destination for the new financial business district as well as from international arrival in Qingdao Cruise Terminal. With the mall façade primarily covered by glass façade, it makes the mall itself appear to be a prominent beacon along the east side of Jiaozhou Bay.<\/p>
The architectural legacy is to present Qingdao to the eye of the world by envisioning the future and being seen by the world. The Eye of World concept was applied quite literally into the design and form of the architecture. The bold move is to introduce the ‘Pearl of the Sea’, like the iris to the eye, the primary intention is to complete the legacy that the symbol of Qingdao is to envision and be recognized, to see and be seen.<\/p>
The presence of the Pearl in the mall will be celebrated internally and also externally from the cruise arrival. The main strategy for the interior design is to enhance the space to be the new ultimate tourist destination. As Pearl occupies the hottest zone in the mall, proposing a highly flexible and connected space is fundamental. The spaces provide an adventurous retail and instagrammable experience along with sea view. It connects through all levels and crosses all spaces. The only atrium in the mall also plays an important role to become a connection point to multiple accesses including the L5 indoor roof garden. The roof garden offers a greenhouse experience in which the visitors will come here as an escape adventure from the city. It is ultimately an outdoor space, enclosed with a glass roof. The space is designed in a smart way as an integrated retail and sustainable space yet able to split flawlessly the public and private F&B area.<\/p>
The Eye of World will introduce cross-border duty-free collection stores, boutique retail, fashion, etc. Light luxury, immersive catering and other formats create a regional and international connecting port to improve the level of supporting services and help the construction of a “harbour that attracts young people” and an “international shipping, trade and financial innovation port”.<\/p>
When East meets West, the nostalgic era becomes a characteristic of the city of Xiamen. A 2-storey semi outdoor mall, Jimei Park Mall offers visitors a novel experience that brings them back to that epoch through contemporized Nanyang design style. Located in the new industrial district in the north of Xiamen, Jimei Park Mall aims to become the retail destination for the business hotel and office surroundings.<\/p>
It began with an intention to continue the legacy of the existing mall building that adopted local Xiamen modernized Chinese architectural style. Nanyang style refers to the use of a mix of styles and techniques from Chinese pictorial traditions and Western art, which becomes the main substance for the interior design. The retail interior space applies mainly the use of bright and warm colours, which depicts a quality of elegance and brings a positive atmosphere into the space. The spirit of Nanyang is expressed through the black metal finish silhouette that forms a row of arches and other tropical patterns along the corridor, veranda and shop fronts ornamentation. The contrast between bright background and dark silhouette illustrates the soul of Nanyang and hopes to bring its spirit into life.<\/p>

The articulation of the Chinese influenced South-East Asian style windows and doors on the shop front are retained as ornamentation to preserve the Nanyang characteristic. Add to the main, geometric tiles and lattice work also can be found on the flooring and the outdoor furniture fitting throughout the retail space. Jimei Park Mall is crafted to be a destination for a grand journey to different outdoor and indoor experiences in contemporary Nanyang design style.<\/p>
L&P Architects' design vision for Yoyo City is to develop an urban shopping center with natural power, with a unique interior design and strategy planning, Yoyo City target to offer the new generation and Yinchuan people a one stop destination for experimental shopping & entertainments.<\/p>
The interior design of Yoyo City is inspired by Yinchuan's unique urban natural characteristics. The ‘Energy’ sculpture standing at entrance plaza to act as a landmark and transforming the nature surroundings into interiors of the shopping mall. <\/p>
The nature concept is expressed through the architectural structure and curvilinear layout of the complex, like water flowing to all direction, promoting the circulation of commercial spaces. The design of the interior is telling a story about Yinchuan: in the main atrium, it’s about migratory birds in Yinchuan wetland. The interactive design of the ‘Tree’ and ‘Waterfall’ and Bird Nest’ has become main scenery for the visitors, guiding them to a nature journey of exploration.<\/p>
Jianfa Yoyo City Sales Center sits next to the Yoyo City Shopping Mall project site, serving the mall (currently under construction) as its showroom for future retail tenants and workplace for the developer. <\/p>
To allow people to experience Yoyo City Shopping Mall in advance, the design concept of the sales center shares the same idea of “exploration of natural energy” from the mall. In the space, the power and beauty of nature were interpreted by different natural elements – heavy granite, flowing water, natural sunlight, growing plants, layered wood, bubbles, etc. These textures are tied together by continuous curvy outlines, meanwhile, creating interesting contrast – heavy and light, rough and smooth, steady and flowing. Ultimately, we hope that the open, flexible, comfortable sales center can remind people about the intimacy of nature – from the touch on the granite, the sound of water flowing, or the smell from the plants.<\/p>
Modern City has been located in the CBD of Jiefang West Road, Yinchuan for more than 10 years. This renovation project is in responded to the urban renewal planning of the district.<\/p>
L&P Architects conceived the business strategy, retail planning, architectural and interior design of this renewal project, target to offer a multi-functional new destination of work, live and leisure for Yinchuan People. The project combining elements of high fashion, F&B, entertainments and household needs, hence offering a modern and contemporary atmosphere for the visitors. Moreover, this Modern City is establishing a new retail idea for the industry. <\/p>
The interior design is telling visitor the ‘Modern’ Concept.<\/p>
The mall is divided into 2 main districts: one is the main atrium, there’s a 18m high led screen, hanging from the 3\/F to the 1\/F, the technology providing interactive activities for visitors, target to activate the commercial activities taking place in the main atrium.<\/p>
The other one is the large stair space crossing from 4\/F to 6\/F, providing a relaxing area for visitors.<\/p>
Envisioned to be the mini ‘Smart City’, Dowell Dongxi Lake Sales Centre is located in a new city of Wujiashan, Wuhan, China. The sales centre carries on an image and a delegation of the future architecture development concept. Adopting Dowell’s fundamental value, the ‘Smart City’ concept becomes the main approach to shape up the entire interior design of the sales office.<\/p>
The main intent of the space is to create a smart and an efficient space, a casual destination, an inspirational gallery and blurring the boundary between visitors and staff’s interaction spaces. The main atrium plays an important role as a beginning of the experience journey that gives first impression of the space to visitors. It is a triple void space that allows visual link three dimensionally to key nodes for easy spot way finding. In the atrium space, the designer converted the existing pillar right in the middle of the space from a threat to a signature. The ‘Smart’ pillar connects the 3-storey space visually and surround itself with key spaces. The pillar indeed becomes a welcoming symbol that emerges from a time-travel platform looking information desk to the atrium ceiling.<\/p>
The sales centre is designed to allow visitors to learn about the property and company’s latest product, through spaces that are actually convertible like the exhibition spaces that are equally an interactive co-working space and break-out space. With the integration of the latest tactile and virtual-reality tech, the sales office has become the initial blueprint of the smart and sophisticated experience of the future development.<\/p>
The design is located in Fengxi New District, Xi'an. It divides themed zones into highly innovative natural scenes to create a trendy and creative mixed experience. The ‘Waterfall’ concept creates an iconic interior space for the region and so as the VANKE brand.<\/p>
The diversified experience scenes leading people to a new concept of life. We aim to create a brand-new experimental shopping experience for the district.<\/p>
Vanke Future Center is an All-in-One Shopping mall in Wuhan, located at the intersection of Hanyang Avenue and Jiangcheng Avenue and connected to the Wulidun Metro Station.<\/p>
The design concept of Wuhan Future Center is about future and history. From the reflections on the water surfaces of the river to the modern digital world, “light” is an element that can bridge through time. Therefore, the design juxtaposes the elements of light & shadow and geometric lines, providing visitors the unique experience of travelling in the future.<\/p>
As visitors enter the main atrium with cubic islands floating on the space, form, structure and shadow intertwine with each other. Together with the multi-dimensional interactive technology screens, it enhances the interactions between visitors and the space. Ceiling lighting also acts as a circulation guide to lead visitors to navigate through the mall. Visitors are guided to experience different scenes, immerse themselves into art and technology spaces and explore the future shopping experience.<\/p>

Longhai Vanke Plaza locates in Yuegang New District, 3km to the east from the Longhai city centre. The project is a shopping mall with 4-storey retail space, aiming to be a vibrant “Urban Gateway” for the Longhai city new district.<\/p>
In contrast from the busy and noisy city life in the old town district, it is necessary to provide a modern and integrated urban playground, where residents can enjoy an exquisite and liveable “one-stop family leisure experience destination”, with all-rounded education facilities and diversify recreational lifestyle enjoyment. <\/p>
The interior design language was inspired by water flow from the river. Translated into space, it presents continuity and connectivity. Five major public space emerges to become the key nodes that weave the visitors' journey into a continuous flow of experience and spatial exploration.<\/p>
Located in the heart of Zhengzhou, this project is strategically located in the CBD area between the Ruyi river and residential zone of the city. Split into two separate towers, the office space is connected by a multi-level atrium to allow natural sunlight down to the ground floor. <\/p>
With the waterfront landscape in mind, we designed an inspiring office with a refreshing interpretation of public and private space. The atrium acts as a public event space for the gathering of visitors and workers.
